On our way south we stopped at Desert Moon Spur to get something for the kids and to stretch our legs. For R39 we got a massive takeaway chips, really good value for money. Instead of just getting a takeaway, we ended up sitting outside so that the kids could play on the jungle gym. Very friendly staff at the front desk.

It's a pity I didn't take pictures of the food, but everything was so tasty that we had almost finished our meals before thinking of getting pics. The staff members and managing staff are very friendly and most helpful (we travelled with a mobility impaired elderly person). I can recommend the nachos. It's my go-to Spur dish, and Desert Moon's is the best I've ever had. Full marks.

This is the best place to eat on the N1 between Johannesburg and Bloemfontein. I have visited here several times, and my experiences so far have been positive. They did make my food as requested, service was quick, and there was always someone close by to assist when required. I recommend this Spur, they do well even though it is a very small Spur.
